Macy's Celebrates Black History Month 2012 at MAAA
Romare Bearden Exhibit | February 9-19, 2012
Macy's and the Romare Bearden Foundation invite you to celebrate the 100th birthday of one of America's foremost 20th century artists, Romare Bearden, with a special limited-engagement exhibit at The Museum of African American Art!

OPENING RECEPTION AT MAAA
Thursday, February 9
6:00 to 8:00 pm

Macy's invites you to view a satellite exhibit of Romare Bearden's artwork. The exhibition will feature works of art that date from 1964 to 1984 when Romare Bearden was at the peak of his artistic power. During the reception, a new generation of jazz musicians will perform Bearden's music, which has previously been recorded by Branford Marsalis, Tito Puente and Billy Eckstine.

Plus, enter for your chance to win* a trip for two to Paris, Romare Bearden's beloved city and the inspiration for his work on the project Paris Blues Revisited, courtesy of American Airlines! Prize includes round-trip coach air travel and hotel accommodations for two, and a $500 Macy's shopping spree so you can travel in style. American Airlines is a proud partner of Macy's Black History Month Celebration.

To RSVP for this event call 1.877.884.3751

*No purchase necessary. Subject to change and cancellation.
