FAQ | how to exhibit at maaa
Thanks for your interest in exhibiting your work at MAAA! We are proud of our long history as an exhibit venue for both established and emerging artists.

Our exhibition calendar has been finalized through 2011, and we are currently reviewing exhibit proposals for 2012 and beyond.

To be considered for a future exhibit, please email the following information to exhibits@maaala.org:
  • your name and full contact information
  • a bio & resume or curriculum vitae (Word or PDF)
  • digital images of your artwork (JPEG) and/or
  • a link to your website
Final approval and scheduling of exhibits rests with the museum's exhibit committee. In general, the committee will consider the overall quality of the work; its readiness for display; the logistics involved in exhibiting the artwork; the costs associated with the exhibit; the timeliness and relevance of the exhibit theme; the availability of the artist to participate in gallery talks, student workshops, or other programming during the exhibit; how well the artwork matches the museum's exhibit acquisition goals; and the compatibility of the exhibit with the museum's mission.

We are unable to meet with artists in person to conduct an initial review of the artwork proposed for exhibition. Due to the volume of inquiries, we will only contact the artist if we are interested in discussing a proposed exhibit. Please be advised that phone or email discussions between an artist and MAAA about a proposed exhibit will not constitute an exhibit agreement and will not obligate MAAA to schedule an exhibit.

Please check this page regularly, as our exhibit policies and requirements are subject to change without notice.
