Healing In The Golden Spiral
BY JOHNATHAN W. HEATH, 6TH GRADE
The artwork in Healing In The Golden Spiral was very beautiful, especially the portrait of the Egyptian Mother. She was the most beautiful woman I have ever seen because of her eye makeup, her beautuful Egyptian jewelry, and the way she properly carries herself like a queen. My favorite painting was Bumble Bee In The Golden Triangle because of the colors on it.
The painting Charlie Parker Playing Blue Moon In Half Note was another one that I gave 5 stars to. It has bright colors like light blue, red, brown and yellow. The painting Pharaoh Sanders In Quarter Note was also very beautiful.
The colors in the exhibit really pop out at you. Some of the paintings had ladies nude on them, but I did not find it offensive and my 5-year-old brother didn't seem to notice. Parents should be prepared to discuss this issue, if they are bringing young children to the exhibit. Anyway, I really liked Healing In The Golden Spiral. I give the exhibit five stars!
